My name is Ronnie Wheeler,
Here is some of my family history associated with the HopeWell Cemetery. My Father, Lee Allen Wheeler,Sr and my Mother, Josephine Mercer/Wheeler are buried in the cemetery.
My Father as born April 24, 1923 and Mother was born April 19, 1927. My Father worked at first at Round Rock Lime Company for about 5 years and then at Austin White Lime Company for just over 30 years where he retired. My mother was a housewife and didn’t work outside the home.
Along with my brother (Lee Edward and Allen Alfred) we often helped our dad cut grass and clean up our family plots as well as other plots in the cemetery. Our parents along with 3 sisters (Hope Marie Wheeler, Gearld Dean Woods/Harris and Almeda Mauldin/Thomas) are buried in section C in the Wheeler plot. They were married for 54 years.
The Wheeler plot consists of a section that my Dad and Uncles (Will and Tom Wheeler) had pre purchased for the family that had enough space for 12 to 14 grave sites. We also have a brother (Lee Allen Wheeler, Jr) buried in Section B of the cemetery. We have a lot of family history as we are related to many families: Mercer, Hurd, Johnson and Earl family just to name a few.
